Troubled broadcaster Turner International Asia Pacific has announced the move of a senior executive from Australia to Singapore.

Robi Stanton, who runs Turner in Australia as general manager, is to take up a new role as VP of sales and marketing for Southeast Asia.

CNN APAC ad sales will continue to be led by William Hsu, the company has said. Stanton will now run CNN’s network and content distribution for Southeast Asia.

The news comes a month after the broadcaster announced that it was to make one in three of its Hong Kong-based staff redundant in one of the biggest culls in recent media history in the territory.

Stanton will oversee brands including Cartoon Network, Toonami, Cartoonito, Boomerang, TCM, truTV and adultswim, as well as CNN and HLN network and content distribution in Southeast Asia.

Her new role will be to drive strategy, planning and revenue growth, and also run marketing and PR for Turner’s entertainment brands in the sub-region.
